Caner İlhan completed his undergraduate studies in Aeronautical Engineering at Necmettin Erbakan University in 2021. He began his master's degree at Istanbul Technical University's Energy Institute in 2022. During this time, he was accepted to the Athens program and studied renewable energy systems at the University of Bucharest Politehnica. He completed his master's degree on hydrogen fuel cell aircraft and is currently pursuing his PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. His research interests and areas of interest include sustainable aviation, the use of hydrogen, fuel cells, and SAF in aircraft.
