Aysun Bozanta Hakyemez is an Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems, specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Her research focuses on large language models, explainability, recommender systems, and AI applications in education and business. She has extensive experience leading interdisciplinary projects on fraud detection, digital tools, and sustainable value chains, collaborating with international partners across sectors including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and retail. She has published numerous articles in well-regarded international journals. In addition to her research, she teaches courses on system analysis and design, information technologies, and recommender systems, and actively mentors students in technology, innovation, and women’s empowerment through the MIS Sisterhood initiative.
